This year, we will accept works from up to 40 artists. Submissions are particularly encouraged from female-identifying, POC, and LGBTQ individuals. This exhibition will have a particular focus on promoting artwork by those who have been historically underrepresented in the arts.

The Politits Art Coalition supports diversity in practice and strength in vision. This is an exhibition intended to be free from censorship, open to artists from Rochester and beyond.

“No man’s land” refers to territory under dispute between parties who then leave it unoccupied due to fear or uncertainty. In this exhibition underrepresented artists will lay a claim to their piece of the art world.

Women’s Work is the first international invitational exhibition hosted by Politits Art Coalition: a group of six artists including Lindsey Collier, Melissa Huang, Kristina Kaiser, Rebecca Lomuto, Jacquelyn O’Brien, and Tina Starr. As part of our mission to support women in the arts, the Politits Art Coalition has invited over forty women artists to participate in this pop-up exhibition at The Yards! Politits at the 6×6 Opening Party

The Politits Art Coalition made an appearance at RoCo’s 6×6 Opening Party. As you can see, our 6th member Tina Star was here in spirit… and in lips!

Our artwork is on display in the Lab Space (we’re party #9!). You can stop by the 6×6 exhibition to pick up original works of art by the members of the Politits Art Coalition for only $20 (all proceeds benefit the Rochester Contemporary Art Center).

Posing for the Politits at 6×6! Big thanks to Director Bleu Cease (left) for putting together such an exciting exhibition.

Each member of the Politits Art Coalition created four works of art for this year’s 6×6 exhibition at the Rochester Contemporary Art Center. Join us at the opening party on June 4th! Each donated work is offered for sale to the public for only $20 each to benefit RoCo, so you can snag a piece by a P.A.C. member for a super low price. Just keep an eye out for the gold Politits brackets!
